Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 August 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Homeful, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live, if higher) to use Homeful.

2. Who provides Homeful

Homeful is provided by Tamas Ortenszky, Rainlihöhe 31, 6048 Horw, Switzerland. Where these Terms say "we", "us" or "our", that is who they mean, and that is who you are entering into this agreement with.

You can reach us at homeful.app@outlook.com or at the postal address above.

3. Your household & content

Homeful lets you and the people you invite share groceries, to-dos, a calendar, expenses, and pet records. You keep ownership of the content you add; you give us only the permission needed to store it, sync it between your household's devices, and show it back to you.

A household is shared without exception. Anyone holding your invite code can join, and every member can see and edit everything in it — including expense amounts, descriptions and balances, and each member's nickname. There is no private area within a household.

You are responsible for who you invite and for what you put in. Keep the invite code to the people you mean to share with, don't add anyone else's personal information without their agreement, and remove a member in Settings (and regenerate the code) when they should no longer have access. Leaving a household does not delete the content it created together — see the Privacy Policy for what deletion does and doesn't remove.

4. Expenses are a record, not a payment service

Homeful records what your household spent and calculates who owes whom. It does not move money: no payment is made, held, or processed by us, and "Settle up" simply marks the recorded balance as settled once you have squared up between yourselves however you normally do.

The figures are only as good as what is entered, and we do not guarantee they are correct or suitable for tax, accounting, or any other formal purpose. Any dispute about money between household members is between them.

5. Homeful AI

Homeful includes an optional AI assistant ("Homeful AI"). Its responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review anything it proposes — groceries, to-dos, calendar events, expenses, or pet logs — before confirming it. Do not use Homeful AI for emergencies, or for medical, legal, or financial advice. You remain solely responsible for the decisions you make and the actions taken in your household, whether or not Homeful AI was involved.

6. Subscriptions & payment

Homeful is free to use with limits, and offers an optional Premium subscription. Premium is billed per household, not per person: one member subscribes and every member of that household gets Premium.

Billing is handled entirely by the App Store. The price, currency and billing period shown at the point of purchase are the ones that apply; payment is charged to your App Store account on confirmation.

Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel at any time in your App Store account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Free trials and introductory offers: where one is offered, its length and terms are shown before you confirm. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the standard price. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it.

Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms, not by us; request one through Apple. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Promotional and gift codes, where offered, grant Premium for a stated period. They are not a subscription, do not renew, have no cash value, and can't be exchanged or refunded.

If a subscription lapses, your household's data is not deleted. Premium features stop working and free-tier limits apply again; everything you created is still there and becomes available again if you resubscribe.

Prices and what Premium includes may change. We will not change the price of a subscription you are already paying for without telling you first and giving you the chance to cancel.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use the app for anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful to others. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer the app, or gain unauthorised access to other households' data or to accounts that aren't yours.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Homeful is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on Homeful AI's output.

9. Account termination & deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This removes your login and your membership of the household; shared household content is deleted once the last member has gone. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we do, and you had an active subscription, any refund is a matter for Apple under the App Store's terms.

10. Availability

Homeful is available wherever it is listed on the App Store, and the app itself is offered in English, Hungarian, German, Spanish, French and Italian. We may add, change, or withdraw features and languages, and may limit or discontinue the service in a particular region — we'll give notice where we reasonably can.

Some features depend on services outside our control (your app store, push-notification delivery, the AI provider, your device's speech recognition). We can't guarantee those are available everywhere or at all times.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Homeful, are governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Horw, Switzerland.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country you live in, and it does not stop you bringing a claim in the courts there where that law entitles you to.

Before going to court, please write to homeful.app@outlook.com — most problems are quicker to fix that way.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Homeful evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date below when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
