Chore app for couples

A Chore App Built for Couples

Household tasks you can both see, with the repeating ones handled for you — so remembering the chores stops being one person's job.

Stop keeping household chores in your head

The hard part isn't the chore. It's remembering it.

In most homes one person ends up as the one who knows: when the bins go out, that the bathroom is due, that somebody has to call about the boiler. Doing the task is ten minutes. Carrying the list all week is the part that wears.

It also makes the work invisible. If the list only exists in someone's head, the other person can't see what's on it, can't pick anything up without being asked, and asking is its own chore. Writing it down where you can both see it is most of the fix.

One shared view of what needs doing

Both of you look at the same list.

Tasks live in the household, not on a phone. Either of you can add one, either of you can finish one, and neither of you has to relay it. When something is done it's marked done everywhere — so nobody starts a job that's already handled.

Enough structure to be useful, not enough to be a chore itself

A household to-do list only works if adding to it takes seconds.

Shared to-dos

Every task belongs to the household, so both of you see the same list. Nothing needs forwarding and nothing lives only on one phone.

Priorities

Mark what actually matters this week. The list stops being a flat wall of jobs where the urgent thing sits below the optional one.

Due dates

Give a chore a day and it stops being vague. "Sometime this week" is how tasks quietly disappear.

Assignment

A task can carry a name, so it's clear who picked it up — without anyone having to ask or assume.

Categories

Home, errands, admin, personal and pet, so household jobs don't get buried under everything else either of you is tracking.

Recurring tasks

Bins, laundry, the water filter every third month. Set the rule once and the task comes back on its own instead of relying on somebody's memory.

Recurring household tasks

Set it once. It comes back on its own.

Most household work isn't one-off — it's the same twenty jobs on a loop. Give a chore a repeating rule and Homeful creates each occurrence when it's due, so the recurring half of running a home stops needing a person to remember it.

Know when something is finished

Fair feels better than even.

Completed chores keep the name of whoever did them, and the weekly view shows what the two of you actually got through. It isn't a scoreboard — it's there so the work somebody has been quietly doing stops being invisible.

Chores as part of your whole household

A task list on its own doesn't cover a home.

Half of what needs doing turns into something you have to buy, pay for or put in the calendar. In Homeful those aren't separate apps.

  • The list is written down instead of held in one person's head
  • Both of you can see what's outstanding without asking
  • Recurring chores reappear on their own
  • Completed tasks record who finished them, and when
  • The weekly view shows what actually got done

Household chores, answered.

What is a good chore app for couples?

The useful ones share a single list rather than syncing two private ones, let a task repeat without being re-created, and show who finished what. Homeful does those three things and keeps chores next to the rest of your household — groceries, expenses, calendar and pets — so there isn't a separate app just for tasks.

Can couples share recurring household chores?

Yes. Recurring tasks are set up once with a rule — weekly, or every so many weeks or months — and Homeful generates each occurrence when it's due. The bins, the laundry and the filter that needs changing every third month stop depending on somebody remembering.

How can couples keep track of household responsibilities?

Put them somewhere you both look, give them a due date and a priority so the list has a shape, and let the repeating ones repeat automatically. Homeful also records who completed each task, so at the end of the week you can see the split of what got done rather than guessing at it.

Can we see who did what?

Yes. Every completed chore keeps the name of the person who finished it and the time they did. It's there to make invisible work visible, not to keep score — which is also why Homeful shows the week as a summary rather than a leaderboard.

Does Homeful only do chores?

No. The same household shares a grocery list, expenses with splitting and settle-up, a calendar and pet care. Chores are one tab of a household app rather than the whole product.

Share the household list, not just the work.
